Zero Percentile
Yesterday I finished reading the book 'Zero Percentile, Missed IIT Kissed Russia' by Neeraj Chhiba.
Story is about a boy named Pankaj who wanted to join IIT but an accident makes him turn a U turn in his life. Dropping the dream of IIT, he is forced to join a college in Volgograd(Russia). Life teaches him lot of lessons there. While he was still studying, his father dies. The responsibilty of the family comes over to him. He works in a business firm started by his seniors in Russia. But at the end he realizes that he is being cheated up by them and then his life motto becomes defeating his seniors and starts a business firm of his own. At last he succeeds in that also. But during all these events, he always realizes that he miss someone close to the heart, with whom he could share all his feelings. The love of his life.
When I started reading the book, I was eagerly waiting to get the portion where the love story would begin. I cudn't find any till the 190th page of this 217 paged book :). Thank God, I was not disappointed. Somehow by the title, I thought it would be another love story by an IT guy(though not an IITian). But while reading the book, over half of the time I was with the author in Russia. A different feel which many of the books I read failed to give.
I liked the way Author narrates the Russian lifestyle, the decreasing temperature there and the fast changing city lifestyle. Learned some Russian terms also "Ye tebya lubloo"(meaning I love you) being my favourite :)
As a whole, to me the book was a success. A good timepass read. Would like to read further works from Neeraj Chhibba.
